Our Intake

Application for placement at Dove Cottage works by way of a waiting list.  Parents are invited to visit us in order to place details on our list as we don't take information via email or phone.

 

We request that visits take place just after school closes (around 12:20pm) on any day from Monday to Thursday. We don't advise visiting on a Friday as we pack up the school premises for the weekend and this means that you wouldn't get to see the classroom environment set out as it is each day making it more difficult to get a real feel for our school. Having said this, if Friday is the only day you can make, that's fine with us, we just like parents to be aware of the circumstances that you would be viewing the school under. 

 

Your visit allows us to spend time chatting to you, answering any questions you may have and showing you around the school. We prefer to do this outside school hours as we feel that the focus during the morning needs to be on the children and it is difficult to be fully engaged when there are regular visitors at the school during the morning.
