Our Team
Shaping young minds with love, laughter and learning every day.
We enrol approximately 30 children each year, however we take a maximum of 28 children on any one day, as not all the children attend school every day. We have approximately 14 in the older group (known as Fantails) children and 14 younger group (Robins) children each day.
We are particular about our attendance numbers each day and this is why we do not guarantee that younger group children will be accommodated for more than 3 days per week initially, however, we try to meet requests during the course of the year. There are always a minimum of four adults on the premises each day.
Cheryl and Busie offer a wealth of teaching experience and collectively have been working with this age group for more than 35 years.
All the staff at Dove Cottage have studied early childhood development and share a special interest in working with young people.

Passionate about working with this age group – it takes a special kind of crazy! Wouldn’t do anything else. Loves being entertained by the children and sharing a good laugh with them.

Teacher
A dedicated mother of 3, she is incredibly hard working, always charming, the children adore her and she has a brilliant understanding of the needs of this age group.

She is permanently laughing and the kids delight in her mischievous sense of fun. Never a dull moment with Noma. Mother of an 8 year old girl.
Mimi Tshaka
Teaching Assistant
She is loyal and committed to school and loving, motherly approach towards every child. She is always keen to play games with the children. Mother to a teenage daughter.
